Personality traits of a franchisee - is this you?

Bedshed franchisees come from all walks of life, each bringing to the table varied skillsets and experience. The good thing about franchising is that many of the traits needed to run a successful operation are transferable from other industries, or can easily be picked up.

We’ve pulled together the common themes and trends we see in the personalities of our franchisees - do these sound like you?

Excited by a challenge

Challenges can be a doubled-edged sword - they can be viewed as exciting, or scary. We often find our franchisees are the type of people that are excited by a challenge, and want to grow their skills. While joining a franchise with a proven track record of successful operation is a sure way to minimise risk, it’s not to say the journey doesn’t require a ‘can do’ attitude and an element of embracing the unknown. Our franchisees often taken a leap of faith to join our network, and many quit their 9 to 5 office job to take on the challenge of being their own boss at Bedshed.

If you’re the sort of person who’s excited by something new, franchising could be a smart career move. A stable franchise like Bedshed offers the right balance between exciting and challenging opportunities, and a steady, safe and secure investment.

Hard working... but love a holiday

Work hard, play hard. It’s a motto that many of our franchisees live by.

The motivated and disciplined nature of our franchisees is something we see time and time again. Consistently going above and beyond, it’s without doubt our franchisees earn all of their achievements.

The great thing about franchising is that there is a lot of give and take.  If you’re prepared to put in the work particularly in the initial stages of running your franchise, you can expect to reap the rewards later and be able to live a flexible and rewarding lifestyle.

Here at Bedshed, we believe you work to live, not the other way around!

People, people, people!

People skills are a trait we see in all of our franchisees. Our most successful franchisees are exceptional at building trust and loyalty with the people around them, including customers, suppliers and employees. If you’re a people person, franchising could be for you!

While this is an important skill, don’t be too worried if you think you’ll need a little bit of assistance. Like with many things, practice makes perfect, and with the right attitude you’ll quickly learn how best to engage with those around you. We pride ourselves on fostering a friendly and fun network, and our team is always sure to give new franchisees the support and advice they need.
