Bedshed franchisees sleep soundly

Bedshed franchisees are overwhelmingly content with their business’ balance sheets, rating the satisfaction of their financial performance higher than 84 per cent of the franchise sector.

Chief Operating Officer, Gavin Culmsee, said the feedback received as part of an independent survey demonstrated Bedshed franchises were not only meeting, but exceeding franchisees’ expectations.

“It is extremely disappointing when franchise profitability doesn’t meet the expectations of the investor, so it is fantastic to see this evidence that Bedshed franchisees are well ahead of the curve when it comes to satisfaction with the financial performance of their business,” Mr Culmsee said.

“Also pleasing is that our franchisees have a high level of work satisfaction, again higher than the industry average.  Most people buy a franchise to improve their lifestyle through better flexibility, job satisfaction and increased income and it is fantastic to see Bedshed ticking those boxes.”

The survey found that three in four Bedshed franchisees would buy a Bedshed franchise again with most indicating strong satisfaction on brand and marketing as well as the level of consultation and involvement.

“Bedshed is committed to partnering with our franchisees, who have a genuine say in business planning and decision-making and this clearly comes through in the survey results,” Mr Culmsee said.

Mr Culmsee said Bedshed franchises are continuing to perform well despite difficult market conditions.

“Having just celebrated its 30th anniversary in franchising, Bedshed has comfortably come through tough times before.  Our franchisees are doing well despite the still challenging retail environment and we are continuing our expansion program with a particular focus on Australia’s eastern seaboard,” he said.

“We see expansion coming from new franchisees joining our network and with the business still in the growth phase on the east coast, there is potential for new franchisees to secure an impressive market share very quickly.”
